Christmas market - Romantic and pensive Christmas atmosphere: Where could you better get in the mood for Christmas than at one of the loveliest Christmas markets in Germany? The enchanting Trier Christmas Market takes place on the medieval Main Market and in front of the imposing backdrop of the Trier Cathedral.
Almost every day there is a changing program for the whole family on the atmospheric stage in front of the west facade of the cathedral - one of Trier's UNESCO world heritage sites. The program ranges from historical puppet theater to star tenors or headliners of the regional music scene. That's why you do not only meet Santa Claus and his entourage at the Domfreihof and the medieval main market, but also the only mulled wine queen in Germany, St Nicholas, the Christmas bakery angels and thousands of visitors from all over Germany and abroad. Trier's Christmas Market is open to all visitors free of charge. On 26.11.2023 the Christmas Market will be closed.
