Instead, low-acid foods such as vegetables, herbs, seeds, kernels, and nuts are consumed. Ripe fruits are also allowed, but citrus fruits are not suitable for base fasting.

Alkaline fasting is a gentle form of fasting and therefore suitable for everyone. The meals are purely alkaline and consist of vegetables, herbs, salads, potatoes, fruits, sprouts, etc. Additionally, it's beneficial to include massages, alkaline foot baths, and liver compresses. Starting alkaline fasting with a gentle colon cleanse is another holistic measure for support. Yin-Yoga (also known as fascia yoga) and appropriate exercise are extremely helpful in accompanying this detoxification and alkalizing process.

Intestinal cleansing

The method of colon cleansing with Epsom salt is considered gentle on the intestines because it gently stimulates bowel movements through its osmotic effect, helping to thoroughly cleanse the colon.

Yoga and counselling

In addition to two yoga treatments and nutritional counseling, Rosemarie Kussinger-Steffes offers the following services during the detox week: She is a mentor for physical, mental, and emotional health, a GGB health advisor, an internationally authorized Continuum teacher and fascia trainer, a Yin Yoga facilitator, a Breathwork facilitator, and a systemic coach.
